Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has ordered strict steps to be taken to prevent environmental pollution across the country, including the capital Dhaka. He stressed the need to remove unfit vehicles from the roads, prevent pollution from brick kilns, and use artificial intelligence (AI) technology to control excessive honking.

He gave these instructions at a meeting on environmental pollution at the Prime Minister’s Office on Saturday (July 18).
The meeting was chaired by the Prime Minister.

The meeting discussed in detail various measures to prevent air and noise pollution. In particular, it was decided to take immediate and effective measures to prevent air pollution caused by brick kilns.
